Garmin Mobile XT for Windows Mobile with GPS 20 software v4.10.00w.

You must have a previous version of the XT software installed on your SD card to have all of the help files, voice files and basemap files. These are not included with this update.

The Garmin Mobile XT for Windows Mobile application is designed for use on Microsoft Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone devices.

During installation, you will be prompted to turn on your Garmin GPS. Please Note: You will not gain access to Garmin Online features and/or the navigation will be unavailable without connecting your Garmin GPS.

A minimum card size of 256 MB is recommended for Garmin Mobile XT software with maps.

If you have previously installed the Garmin Que for Pocket PC application, you must uninstall Garmin Que before installing the Garmin Mobile XT application.

Changes made from version 4.00.60w to 4.10.00w:

Provide updates to reduce the size of the application and supporting files.

Provide new Settings -> Display option to control the backlight when the Garmin Mobile XT application is running and active (not available on all devices).

Provide yellow highlight for the exit button on the Main Menu page.

Provide additional function calls in the Garmin smartphone API (based on the QueAPI).

Provide GPS signal propagation when navigating through a tunnel.

Provide a return to edit option if user attempts to change the waypoint name to a name that already exists.

Improve Garmin Online server communication.

Improve reliability of the uninstall process.

Improve scrolling on street select page for devices showing less than seven entries per page.

Increase font size of device info and ID on the Remote GPS Settings page.

Correct various language translation and display errors (Swedish, Spanish and Russian).

Correct cross-road labeling issue when using old format (non-NT) maps.

Correct Contacts spell issue when attempting to remove characters using the backspace.

Correct Route to Contacts function within WM Contacts to launch Garmin Mobile XT and create the route if the application is not running.

Correct map street labels that were not being drawn.

Instructions for using this software:

As with any software update, you should always create a backup of the data on your device before beginning. Please see the information provided in the user manual for your device for more information.

Insert the SD/CF card with the previous Garmin Mobile XT version files into your device. All files required for the application update will be copied to the SD/CF card.

Connect your device to your PC via USB. Ensure ActiveSync is running and connected.

To begin the SD/CF card setup, select the Download link found on this web page.

Select to Run or Save the file. Selecting Run will immediately launch the install program. Selecting Save, will save the file to your PC and require you to launch the install program from the saved location.

Follow the directions provided when running the downloaded program and directions provided on the device display to complete the application update.

You will need to keep the SD/CF card inserted in your device for the voice, help and basemap files. This SD/CF card can also be used to hold your detailed maps.

After completing these steps, verify the update was successful by going to Settings -> About within the Garmin Mobile XT application. Version 4.10.00 should be displayed.
